Sdkfz 251 Interior Photos
The Tamiya SdKfz 251 kit represents an earlier C version. It would have left the factory with dark grey interior paint (some sources say eariler A and B versions had the drivers' area with off white paint). However, anything visible to the enemey air observation (the fighting compartment of the half-track) would be the same as the exterior color.

As I did my 251, look at RFI section. Some week ago. I had an early variant in grey. The front interior I did creme white. The area as far the roof is. Interior in the rear outside color. Leader cushion black or brown. Hope it helps.

Finallyi, the SdKfz 251 was not called a "Hanomag". This is an invention of Tamiya. Hanomag was one of seven builders of the 251 SPW -- Schutzenpanzerwagen or armored personel carrier. It'd be the equivalent of saying an M4A4 Medium tank was the M4 "Chrysler" tank. Troops called it the "ess-pay-vay", not the 251 or "Hanomag"

The Hanomag. Although manufactured by Hanomag, Skoda, Horch and others, the Sd.Kfz. 251 halftrack became known simply as "The Hanomag". This is probably the most recognizable infantry vehicle of the Second World War. It is like that because it is one of the most numerous - more than 15 000 were built and widely used by the Wehrmacht.

Directions for interior was not given in the Tamiya instructions, and from what I can tell, the interior was painted the same base color as the outside to keep it hidden from air recon.. the gun like the Ausf C (?) doors of Tamiya's Sd.Kfz. 251/1 'Hanomag' are early period and so this model and its crew provided would more frequently be.
